Starting the challenge I was worried that about not being able to keep up but the way the sessions were structured I never felt like I was left behind. Josh's approach to fitness made the classes fun and made you want to keep coming back. The workouts varied in styles and allowed for the different levels of fitness. Josh encouraged me to push myself and my own limits even though I was worried that being really competitive that he would push me too far. He definitely pushed me hard but never let me go too far. My goals were to tone up & build muscle, to improve my core strength due to having suffered back soreness in the past.
Through the 10 weeks of sessions my back pain decreased because of the core strength I gained during the challenge. I also improved my flexibility due to the stretching/mobility work we did at the end of the sessions.

I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone being overweight. The sessions are run really well, I could work at my own pace and he wasn't like some other trainers being over enthusiastic, too loud, shouting or being pushy. I wanted to lose weight, improve core strength and improve my general fitness. I'm really happy with how much fitter I got over the Bootcamps. I also had bad knees before I started Bootcamp and with Josh's great Rehab knowledge my knees are no longer as sore as they were.
I can actually squat pain free now which is great!

Being quite fit already and someone who normally trains by myself I wasn't sure how well I'd go in a group situation, wether I would like it or not. Josh's approach to fitness made the classes fun and made you want to come back. The workouts varied in style, allowed for different levels of fitness, he kept things interesting. My goals were to improve my endurance, cardiovascular and my general fitness levels. Testing before and after I actually improved on things like planks, wall sits and my 1.6km running times. I also had less cramping due to the stretching/mobility work we did at the end of the sessions.

I was worried that I wasn't fit enough, that you wouldn't be able to keep up with everyone, that I never be able to increase my fitness and strength. Josh made it clear that we only had to do what we could do, that everyone is different. He gave alternatives when they were needed because an exercise was too difficult. My goals were to tone my body, lose weight and to improve my strength. I achieved my goals - I lost weight, got much stronger, more toned, had better endurance and actually have abs now! Exercise is hard for me because I have arthritis in both ankles, knees and elbows and I used to use this as an excuse to not do any exercise.
My journey first started when I saw an ad for the Free 100 Day Challenge and thought maybe this was something I could try although I didn't have high hopes given my situation. I messaged Josh on Facebook to ask if he thought I would be able to do the exercises in his class - and right from the start he was the most helpful PT (or anyone in relation to exercise) I had spoken to. He explained that there was variations for the all exercises and he would try to help find exercises that suited me.
Next a friend started the Private Small Group Sessions with Josh which I joined and really enjoyed but I still felt a bit out of place, I knew I wasn't getting the full benefit of the group sessions because I was trying to fit in my style of the exercises with what the other girls were doing.
So I chose to do the 1 on 1 PT sessions and haven't looked back since.
I would recommend Josh to anyone who wants to see a PT who is willing to work with you - body challenges and all!
